If you are looking for a peaceful stay to be in direct contact with the nature and explore the island, this accommodation is just ideal. Located on the outskirts of the city in a quiet residential area, it is conveniently accessible by buses 4 or 45 and situated within a short walk from the bus stop. You will love the freshness of the fruits and the warm croissants that are served in your room every morning. The staff is outstandingly attentive and helpful with any request you may have.

Our stay at Vila Marta was great, the owner and his son really helped us a lot in finding good restaurants and in enjoying Madeira. The room was perfect and clean and we had flowers and fruits waiting for us the day of our arrival. Also the owner gave us as a gift a box of the most beautiful flowers we have ever seen. Thanks a lot!!!

The hotel is located in a pleasant neighborhood, nestled on a slope in a quiet part of town with a beautiful view of the sea. The rooms are comfortable and well-appointed, with good beds for a restful sleep. The big balcony adds an extra touch of relaxation, allowing you to soak up the stunning surroundings. The small TV in the rooms offers a wide range of channels to keep you entertained during your downtime. Moreover, the breakfast provided is delicious and satisfying.

All aspects of this hotel were beyond expectations.

We were perfectly taken care of by the management: they fixed taxi from/to airport, car rental at the reception, our immediate needs at arrival and fresh bred every morning. It's been a wonderful time at Vila Marta. The friendliness of the owner family is exceptional. They were incredibly helpful and treated us like friends. The room itself is perfectly clean and has a nice size, including kitchen, a little sitting room area and a nice big balcony. It has two beds but they can be put together. They have free Wifi in the lobby. Vila Marta is perfect for everyone who likes to enjoy a quiet holiday, and a perfect location to explore the island. We will be back!

I recently had a fantastic stay at a charming hotel in Madeira. One of the things that stood out to me was the great value for money. The prices were very reasonable, especially considering the attention to detail throughout the hotel. The location was superb, situated on a slope in a quiet part of town with a beautiful view of the sea. It really felt like I was experiencing the real Funchal, away from the tourist areas. The staff provided excellent service and were incredibly friendly and helpful. The basic amenities were all in place, and I particularly enjoyed the rooms with their great sunset views and the big balconies. Breakfast was delicious and the small card left in the room was a thoughtful touch. I couldn't have asked for a better experience.

Vila Marta is a small guesthouse with 9 apartments, situated on the outskirts of Funchal away from the noise and general hubbub, but within easy access and with views over the city and the sea. Joel & Bruno place great importance on the success of their guests' holidays, and do anything they can to help you have a wonderful time.

Very high service mindset among the personel and in generel a very welcoming athmophere. We received a twin room with balcony, flowers, fruits and a great view over the sea. Everyting very nice and clean. Kitchen was well equipped including a microoven. Free morning bread delivered every day outside the room even though breakfast was not included. Very good supermarket and restaurent in walking distance from the apartments. Free parking outside the hotel. Free wireless internet was available in the reception area. Thanks for nice stay. We will come back.

Enjoyed the homely feeling of the colonial-style house, with balconies offering fantastic views of the area and the fully equipped kitchenette in the room. the staff was very kind, providing us with clean towels and fresh bread every day, and offering advice on the best local spots to visit.

The hotel is a bit far from the center, requiring a car or taxi ride to get around, which added cost to our trip. the mattresses were a bit firm for our liking, leading to less restful nights.
